Elizabeth Dole’s lawyers are asking Kay Hagan’s to dismiss their lawsuit. Dole’s lawyers maintain the first “godless” ad is factual. Additionally, Dole has unleashed another “godless” ad.

Under the Dome reports that Elizabeth Dole’s lawyers maintain the “godless” ad is factual and that the campaign refuses to pull the ad. See the full report and response letter from the lawyers here.

Dole receives endorsement

Under the Dome reports that the conservative, Washington, D.C.-based Washington Times has endorsed Elizabeth Dole. Hagan spokesman Matthew Miller jokingly refers to it as Dole’s “hometown” newspaper, referencing her little amount of time spent in the state.

Nearly every major daily newspaper in the state has endorsed state senator Kay Hagan in the 2008 Senate Race, as compiled by Under the Dome.

Endorsers include: Raleigh News & Observer, Charlotte Observer, Asheville Citizen-Times, Winston-Salem Journal, Greensboro News-Record, Wilmington Star-News and Durham Herald-Sun.
